Memorial Day, At-Large Read Aloud
Thursday, May 21 @ 11:00am EST
Join The Rendell Center, ABOTA, The Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Supreme Court of PA Historical Society, and the Montgomery Bar Association for the 2026 Memorial Day At-Large Read Aloud Program.
Honor Memorial Day with a special virtual event designed to help students reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and service of the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Our Memorial Day Virtual Read Aloud Program connects elementary school students with a Veteran volunteer reader, offering a meaningful opportunity to explore themes of remembrance, patriotism, service, and civic responsibility through an engaging story and Q&A.
What to Expect:
In this interactive program, a Veteran will read The Impossible Patriotism Project by Linda Skeers, a book that highlights themes of courage, citizenship, and the importance of giving back to the community. After the reading, students will have a chance to participate in a Q&A session with our volunteer reader, giving them an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about military service and the role of veterans in our society.
