Throughout the year, the Rendell Center delivers special programs that are based on fresh content, current events and civic holidays.
This month is special for our Read Aloud Program because we offer a choice of topics in November – Voting/Election Day and Veterans Day!
November 6-15, 2023
Join The Rendell Center and The Pennsylvania Bar Association for our November Read Aloud Program focusing on voting and veterans. Both topics are key elements of American Civics, and we have selected 3 books to make Read Alouds this month especially memorable.
My Red Balloon by Eve Bunting
I Voted: Making a Choice Makes a Difference by Mark Shulman
The Impossible Patriotism Project by Linda Skeers
Pennsylvania lawyers, judges and veterans will join classrooms virtually with our specially crafted Read Aloud Sessions to narrate our selected works of children’s literature.
The sessions last 30-45 minutes and are ideal for grades 2-5. These engaging sessions will wrap up with discussion questions.
