Join The Rendell Center, ABOTA, and The Pennsylvania Bar Association for the celebrate Law Week with a special Read Aloud program.
We’re excited to invite you to celebrate Law Day with a special read-aloud designed to connect with and inspire the next generation to better understand our Judicial system. Below are the book selections:
Andrew Learns About Lawyers by Tiffany Obeng
Turning Pages by Sonia Sotomayor
NoodlePhant by Jacob Kramer and K-Fai Steele
What to Expect:
Volunteer lawyers and judges will virtually visit classrooms to read selected children’s books that promote a deeper understanding of the American judicial system and rule of law.
- The sessions lasts up to 30 minutes
- Ideal for grades 1-5.
- Includes interactive discussions where students can ask questions, reflect on what they heard, and share their thoughts
For Students, This Experience:
- Fosters critical thinking by exploring the meaning of justice and reflecting on the legal foundations of American liberty and democracy.
- Promotes literacy through engaging, age-appropriate stories
- Enable students to gain the knowledge, skills, and disposition of actively engaged citizens;
- Promote interest in the law to young people;
- Celebrate the U.S. Constitution and the Rule of Law.
